woke up with calf cramp

Postby Perry2 on Thu Jul 17, 2008 9:20 am

I can't remember ever having a calf cramp except in the pool, but last night I woke up in the middle of the night with one -- which is not particular enjoyable, trying to stretch it out and grit my teeth till it relaxes.

Did the PaxVelo sprint tri on Tuesday, and that was my first one where I swam hard, and then last night did Crystal's speedwork with her, which I probably should have relaxed for a recovery day, so that might have set me up for it -- but I've never had this happen to me before.

Iced some, and again in the morning, and massaged it a bit, and by now it doesn't really feel tight -- but I may take a day off today still.
