| Now that it's getting warmer, does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to carry water with you. I don't want anything thats going to be slushing around on me, I'd imagine that would be annoying on a long run. When I started running last Augest that wasn't a concern for me because I didn't go too far, but now with a marthon in sight in October I'll be out on the road for hours sometimes. Water will be a necessity on my long run days.

That's one bonus with running loops, like we do for our Sunday run. We usually stop back to take a quick drink before we start again. There are also fountains down along the boardwalk to get a quick drink from. I was also down there early enough this morning to have the sprinklers still running. Those are nice to run through in August!
I have carried water before, especially when it gets really hot. It is annoying, but sometimes it's the only option.

| I have one of the water bottle belts. (Nathan brand I think, there are others) It has 4 bottles that hold 10 ounces each, but I mostly just carry 2 bottles on it. I also only use it on runs over 12 or 13 miles. I also carry in hand a small 12 oz. bottle sometimes for shorter runs if I'm not near fountains. Some people 'stash' water/fluids on their run routes. On any run over 18 to 20 miles my DH will drive out and meet me with refills, after a couple of hours. I really don't like wearing the belt but it's not that horribly uncomfortable, and it doesn't bounce much at all. Then on race day it's such a nice feeling to not have the belt on. Good Luck.
