A fair number of CBRC runners showed up in Hughesville yesterday (Sat May 30, 2009) to run the TCYSB Youth Power 5K. It was an out and back with slight rolling hills, and we returned into the sun -- I know I faded in the second half, and still passed a couple people -- I'm guessing a lot of us faded in the second half, coming into the sun. (Blaine predicted that would happen, so his prophecy gift must be strong.)
They seemed to have friendly volunteers and good police and rescue squad support.
They had computer problems and the awards ceremony was delayed a long time, and then they ran out of medals for awards.

It was my first race with your group, but I enjoyed it. I left right after I finished (kids had soccer in Hollywood) and got halfway home with my chip still attached.
