PHS Cross Country Meets

Post information for events where volunteers are needed

PHS Cross Country Meets

Postby mablyb on Sat Sep 27, 2008 3:13 pm

If anyone is interested in helping out at the two Patuxent High School cross country meets this year (Oct. 1st and 7th), we would be very appreciative to have you. We mainly need people to help with the finish and spot the course. It's a great opportunity to see the local youth running fast. We would need you from about 3:30-6:30 pm on October 1st and/or October 7th (there is a greater need for 10/1). Thanks, and feel free to get ahold of me for more details.

I'm planning to attend this Wed (as I responded elsewhere). Hope Bull Run wasn't too muddy -- we had a picnic in the afternoon and the rain stopped by then, but I suppose Bull Run started early.

Complete

Both of the Patuxent home meets seemed to go well. Also I ran the course after last night's, so now I know the course. Bringing a backpack to hold the tent, climbing and rapelling gear, and an oxygen mask for the heights, paid off.

You should ask those members who came out to run the Panther Path Fun Run in August what they thought of our course!
