So, civilian entry for Marine Corps Marathon opens Wed Apr 30th at noon apparently -- I'm still trying to decide. Anyone else doing it?
Oct 26th -- I think -- the website is terrible -- it only has 2007 maps and info pdfs, so I'm not sure if the schedule is 2008 or the old 2007 one.

Dear Scott C. Beers,
YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY REGISTERED FOR THE 33rd MARINE CORPS MARATHON
Now I have a goal to shoot for. Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for running as much as I do now, wait till I switch gears and rev up for the marathon.

I'm registered!
Scott, are you going to start doing long runs on the weekends (if you're not already)? What kind of pace? I'm thinking of starting to try to make a point of getting one long one in every other week, starting pretty soon. I'm comfortable with anything 8:30-10min/mi probably. (Actually my pace on the Lower Potomac Marathon was slower than 10min/mi.) I was wondering if you'd be psyched to get together sometime for a MCM training long run?
Also, anyone else around here sign up for MCM (Marine Corps Marathon) 2008?

| Last weekend I did 12.2 miles @8:45 pace and felt pretty good. Thats the furthest I've gone so far. With three kids in sports my schedual is usually tight but it opens up in the summer starting in June. After almost 2 hours of running last weekend some company would be nice. I would like to get down to a few of the Sunday runs at Solomons.
