I'd like some new ideas for intervals. One set I like is this:
(800, 200 rest, 200, 400 rest) x 4 (or more!)
I call these "Cathy intervals" because Cathy Friedel had us run them before.

Last summer one that we did was a 5K pyramid -- I think it was 200m, 400m, 800m, 1000m, 200m, 1000m, 800m, 400m, 200m -- rest between each.

How about something different that you might with a training plan? Ladders and pyramids are good, but I'm looking for new combos.

Hey - I like those Cathy Intervals! Those work well for 5ks!

Here's two for you Sierra - compliments of a Florida running camp:

Leg Speed - Sets of: 2min hard/1min easy/1min hard/30sec easy on the road. For 20-30 min.

Track Workout - 4 x 200s with 200 rest, 3 x 1000s with 2min rest, 2 x 400s with 400 rest

Ha ha! Thanks Cathy! I was going to email you today (I swear!). Paul and I just ran a couple of 400's today (5K Saturday), but I will try these next week!
