I don't know if this map is any less confusing than the first one I made, but hopefully it helps:

This is for the 10K course.

I tried following the course in my car but a posted no trespassing sign stopped me from turning down the dirt road that brings you back over to 238. I did notice two nice steep hills on hurry rd not to mention the long incline on the first mile. Hopefully it will be a cool morning again on Saturday. Who's planning on running the 10K , 5K ? Are you going Perry?

Your right, the second dirt road on Hurry Road (aptly named) is where you turn. That dirt road lined with corn is the farm you run through. You come out on the other side, and both ends have metal gates that will be opened for the race. The farm owners are nice enough to allow the race to go through each year, this being the 23rd historic one.

Your also right about the deceptive first mile incline, so there are two places to take it reasonably to save your endurance to get the best 10k you can.

Good luck. As long as we have enough 5k finish line staff, I'll be running the 10k myself.

Scott, my answer is the same as Vic's -- as long as 5K finish has coverage, I'll run the 10K.

Didn't know there would be a musical performance in the middle of the cornfield crossing :)

Much as I would like to be in my 30's, especially since it would've meant a little Lucite sailboat I've been chasing for 4 years at the A10, I'm 40 now and that bumps you down by a point Perry.

Also, Richard Braam beat me, but I'm not sure if he's in the Grand Prix. I aspire to give him and Danny a run for their money some day.

Vic I've been scoring you in the 30s because Grand Prix age is based on your age as of the first race of the year, and the first Grand Prix race of this year was New Year's -- which means as the year goes by, eventually everyone is scoring as a year younger than they are.

That fools me every time. I gave up on the 30's a few months ago, and look, I've got 'til the end of the year to enjoy them. :)

Haven't been able to do this race in a couple years due to scheduling conflicts. It's one of my favorites and on my calendar in pen for this year... Aug 29, 2009. :D

Hi--how do you sign up for this 10K? Do you sign up that morning or is there an online registration? Thanks.

Registration forms are hard to come by, but if you run the race once you are on their mailing list. I will scan mine tomorrow at work and try and post it here (and on the CBRC website) by tomorrow night. Otherwise they do have race day registration.
