Bagels

Postby sierra on Sun Jan 25, 2009 6:54 pm

Spyro's in Solomons was nice to donate bagels for our first trail run at King's Landing on Saturday, January 24. When I was sorting through them, I noticed one that had something reddish sprinkled on top. I couldn't figure out what it was and decided to sniff it. Old Bay! Who eats Old Bay on a bagel? Do you still toast it with cream cheese or is this just for breakfast sandwiches?

Okay, I'll admit I'm not a huge Old Bay fan, but still!

(And a toasted Cinnamon Crunch bagel with cream cheese from Panera is heaven!)

Yum! I love Spyro's Old Bay bagels. Plain or toasted with butter.

You could just think that I'm really cool b/c I like pretty much everything, from Old Bay bagels, to Candy Cane Kisses, to brussel sprouts.

All at the same time? That is really cool!

I didn't get a bagel on Sat. but that Old Bay bagel sounds like it would be good. The trail mix was good and the hot chocolate was perfect for the chilly weather!

Hmmm, all at the same time doesn't sound so good. Though the toasted bagel would melt the candy cane kisses..... oooh, how about a plain bagel toasted and spread with a regular Hershey's kiss? Now we're talking!

Anyone crazy enough to run Kings Landing in those winds in shorts -- there's no telling what she might eat...

I wasn't the only one in shorts. And Amy, instead of melting a Hershey Kiss-- I like a toasted plain bagel with Nutella on it. Yum, creamy-chocolatey.

At least three crazy enough to run in shorts, I think -- and Blaine didn't even run so he isn't counted. Can see in the photos (on the cbrc photostream).

Suddenly my V8 isn't as tasty as it was a minute ago. :(

I got some tasty cinnamon raisin peanut butter at a cute little shop in Philadelphia a few weeks ago. YUM on the toasted whole wheat bagels! Then I saw the same peanut butter at the Solomons Food Lion for a fraction of the cost. The good news is now I know where to restock.

Sue can probably get you some -- she's doing some trail run thing where they have to swim upstream and catch salmons in the middle of it I think
