Not me. It sounds good and all, but I feel like I did more than enough push-ups when I was in the Army. It's one exercise I totally just cannot stand! I guess after a Drill Sergeant "drops" you on some sharp gravel in 1.5 inches of icey cold December rain water for some "character building" push-ups...well I had my fun.
Good Luck to you though.
(ps: I tried and barely eeked out 20 :P )

They have a 200 sit-up club, too. Would that bring up any bad memories? I think sit-ups, depending on how they're done, would be easier.

I have to warn you, they make the 100 pushups sound a lot easier than it really is -- or at least in my experience, and that of others in a forum that I joined when I tried that. Only three of us guys reported success, and one of the guys was doing pauses, and I was using really bad form -- I found that out when Crystal took a video of me trying to do it. Since then I've focused on better form (touching or almost touching my nose on each one), and I accomplish a lot fewer like that -- I may start again doing ones with good form, back in the middle of the program, but I doubt I'll make it through.

Also, most people wound up repeating weeks by or before week 5, sometimes even week 3, because they found the weeks too hard to successfully accomplish in one week.

I was often taking two rest days in between workout days, and sometimes 3, instead of just one; I found that I had better recovery like that.

Of course, nowadays I've gotten lazy and I take even more just because I'm too lazy to actually do it and put it off "until tomorrow" a lot. :)

Sit-ups, no problem, I don't mind them at all. I don't do standard sit-ups too much anymore, but will sometimes. I prefer crunches and doing those planks to try and tighten my abs. :)

I did lots of push-ups when I was more of a gym rat and form is important. However, I never had my nose almost touch the ground!

I decided to start at the lowest ability (tier), even if I can/could do more. It does say on the site that weeks might need to be repeated. I guess it's like running intervals - it's worth trying even if the results end up being small.

And when I said repeated, I didn't mean just repeated once :)

But yeah, my thought was that at least it gave me a structure & goal, and even if I give up on the goal, it still is a structure -- and it is kind of fun.

Sierra, what happened to that other training program you were talking about a while ago? I don't remember what it was called and am too lazy to scroll down the forum topics and look. You still doing that?

We've been doing P90X at home for about 8 weeks. It's pretty good. Yoga X and Ab Ripper X are my favorite workouts. Lots of push-ups in one of the other workouts, it's my least favorite one.

Couple guys out here are doing P90X I think.

I just borrowed & tried a pair of perfect pushups (rotating handles) out of curiosity, and they are very nice.

PS: pouring outside, so ran the stairs - twice, 23 flights, gee, that is a quick way to tucker myself out :)
